Koroit Opals are found in an opal field in Paroo Shire in southwest, Queensland, Australia.  This opal field is know for its very distinctive type of opal that is found there.

The "Mother" of these opals is Ironstone, a deep and earthy brown that when polished finely results in a nice smooth finish.

I have found a wonderful source for these opals and have become quite enamored with them.  The combination of the opal and the ironstone in which it forms feels to me to be very grounding, warm and gives a strong energy and connection to Mother Earth.

The opals themselves seem a bit mysterious and playful and I love the combination - I am quite drawn to these treasures and dream of one day going to Australia to see the amazing place where these treasures come from.

These small polished pieces are used as talismans, amulets, in medicine bags, meditation, used in a grid, or wire wrapped into a stunning piece of special jewelry.

Each one has been re-tuned with vibrational sound and bathed in moonlight under a copper pyramid.

Enjoy!
