The past few years I have been drawn more and more to crystal skulls so I am usually on the lookout for them. This premium quality amazonite skull has black tourmaline and areas of smoky quartz appearing throughout the piece.
It weighs just under 1 3/4 lbs and measures about 4 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" deep.
Carved skulls have been uncovered that many believe were carved thousands of years ago by an ancient Mesoamerican civilization.
There are many stories about these skulls (many held in private collections) including the idea that they are able to record energy / vibrations that occur around them and that some can access these events or images when they have contact with these skulls. Some anthropologists believe that the carved skulls from the the Mesoamerican time period were believed to be a symbol of regeneration.
